Testimonies
Testimonies are great but sometimes the best proof can be viewed through videos or other media sources. Technology is one of the 21stCentury Skills, and according to
http://purposefultechnology.weebly.com/creating-digital-citizens---what-is-digital-literacy.html, technology literacy is the understanding of basic concepts, and the understanding of basic concepts helps to understand broader concepts in the technological world.

This is also true when we teach students. They must understand basic concepts of a subject matter before they can move on to broader concepts. For example, the twin-boys depicted below were taught the alphabet, then they were taught the sounds produced from the letters. This was reinforced each day by using videos. They were then taught how to put letters together to form words. This worked well for them because they began reading at
2 years old.

As a long-term substitute teacher at Bassick High School, I applied and received a mini-grant, to start a peer-to peer tutor initiative during the 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 school year.It took place in the library of the school, and it yielded positive results. According to (Nix, Naomi 2017), The 74, Bassick graduation rate in 2015 was 62 percent — much better than the abysmal 48 percent that graduated in 2012.
